Examples of our Partnerships

One of the ways in which CBH expresses its enthusiasm for the arts is by collaborating with leading figures in both the local and international art scene, while also supporting the production of major cultural events. Our commitment to fostering creativity, cultural innovation and the development of the Swiss art scene is deeply rooted in partnerships with key institutions. A few examples are highlighted below.

MAH

The Musée d’Art et d’Histoire (MAH) is one of the largest museums in Switzerland, housing over 650,000 objects. Its diverse collections include applied arts, fine arts and archaeology. Each year, MAH also hosts several temporary exhibitions featuring a wide range of artists.

For more than fifteen years, the Group has supported MAH by participating in major exhibitions, such as “The Enchantment of the Landscape in the Time of Jean-Jacques Rousseau”, “Gustave Courbet – The Swiss Years” and “Ferdinand Hodler – Parallelism”. More recently, our partnership with MAH has led to the XL series of exhibitions, where renowned artists or art historians are given the opportunity to reinterpret the museum’s works in innovative ways.

Biennial Images Vevey

The CBH Group has been an official partner of the Biennial since 2018. Images Vevey is Switzerland’s first major visual arts biennial and an international reference in contemporary photography. Every two years, it brings together over 50 artists from some 20 countries, presenting unique large-scale photographic installations in the streets of Vevey. The biennial also showcases the winning project of the Grand Prix Images Vevey, an international photography competition.

The theme for 2024, (dis)connected, focuses on the contemporary conundrum of when inevitable nostalgia meets curiosity about an unpredictable future.

Our approach to philanthropy is to fund initiatives directly on the ground. This ensures that our donations have the greatest impact by providing support straight to those in need. Our commitments span a wide range of initiatives, including supporting reconstruction efforts in conflict zones, developing clean water sources in underserved regions, and funding sports activities for children with disabilities.

Always be Human

Born out of a heartfelt initiative and a shared vision of its founders, Always Be Human (ABH) aims to help families who have suffered the tragic consequences of war and/or natural disasters. The organization is committed to providing long-term support.
ABH ensures that 100% of donations go directly and exclusively to the projects it supports. Always Be Human is a regulated charitable organization supervised by the Swiss Authorities. It is run entirely on a voluntary basis, with all its operating costs covered by its founders.

What Water

Visit Site
Access to safe drinking water is essential for preventing waterborne diseases and sustaining life and development. What Water's primary mission is to provide access to clean water for vulnerable populations in Africa by connecting artists and engaged citizens from around the world.
Its funding model is unique in that it leverages partnerships and sponsorships to organize exhibitions and private art sales, with 50% of the proceeds directly allocated to creating water solutions, providing on-the-ground assistance, and raising awareness.

PluSport

People with disabilities are an integral part of our society. Sports activities promote equality and play a vital role in building a more inclusive society. PluSport is the umbrella organization for sports activities and services for people with disabilities in Switzerland.
With the goal of promoting integration and acceptance, PluSport offers programs for all types of recreational and competitive sports, for all ages and all types of disabilities. In particular, CBH funds the sports program for several children with disabilities each year.

Artwork Credits

In addition to supporting the arts through partnerships with various artistic initiatives, CBH Group is growing its own collection of contemporary and historical art, that perfectly reflects the culture of a bank that is both a traditional private bank and a digital innovator. Throughout the site, images of works from the collection or borrowed through our support of the MAH allow visitors to experience the full range of artistic possibilities.
